Market Citizens as a role in the hidden-road world
Citizens matter because they are the measure of whether the hidden-road world is worth saving. Markets, shrines, and chapels only matter if ordinary people still pass through them, argue in them, buy food in them, and notice when the routes begin to fail.
Grouped together, these citizens make the world feel inhabited and social instead of reading like a cast made only of specialists and fighters.
